We have had a number of discussions on this forum about changes in the numbering of Warminster streets. I have now discovered the date, at least for Vicarage Street.
I have been doing some research for my talk on May 10th (Warminster Library @ 19:30), entitled Growing up in Warminster in the 1950s. As part of this I found my Identity Card (yes, we had them in the 50's).
It shows me at 16 Vicarage Street in 1945 and then at 59 Vicarage Street on 25 November 1949. As this was one and the same house then the numbering change must have taken place in November 1949.
Keith kindly took a picture of 16/59 for me and posted it here about 2 years ago. It didn't look that ugly in 1950

I suspect that the renumbering of West Street also took place at the same time.
