Warminster based 2nd Battlion The Yorkshire Regiment patrol is ambushed in Sangin and caught on this footage , i take my hat off to the quick thinking OIC.

Sadly 2 more Yorkshire's have lost their lives and the toll on that regiment has been very high .

The soldiers, from 3rd Battalion The Rifles, who were on foot patrol, died following the incident near Sangin in Helmand province on Friday evening.

In remembrance and tribute to Cpl Liam Riley aged 21 and L/Cpl Graham Shaw aged 27 who died on Monday 1st Feb 2010 in Helmand province serving with the 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment .

Liam died alongside his friend, Lance Corporal Graham Shaw.

Cpl Riley, from Killamarsh, in Derbyshire, and L/Cpl Shaw, from Huddersfield, were on foot patrol when two bombs exploded

There are 2 books of remembrance in St Lawrences Chaple for anyone to leave a message of condolence for the families of the soldiers who lost their lives , courtesy of ex chapel steward Victoria Coombes , these books will remain in the chapel for 2 weeks .
